Many people are upset by this article.
I assumed this would happen.
It's okay. I'm a big girl, and I can take it.
All I ask is that you think about it... consider it.
People with a disability don't want you to feel sorry for them. Or to use them to get hits on an article. Or to use their circumstance to pat yourself on the back.
They want acceptance, and they want to be treated equally. They also don't want the world to perpetuate stereotypes.
I don't believe the football player did anything wrong. He was being a kind human being. As well, I understand WHY the mother posted it on social media. It's the media, who clearly used this child's autism as "inspirational porn" to get hits.
